Commitments

To ensure sustainability is embedded in our fundamental way of conducting business, we are committed to adopting a consistent, organisational approach by:

  • Applying clear, accountable principles: We will be clear on what we are committed to and how we will approach our sustainability responsibilities;

  • Recognising stakeholders: We will understand who has a stake in our business, how they benefit from or are impacted by our decisions and actions and what they require from us;

  • Ensuring integration: Our approach to sustainability and upholding principles of diversity, equity, access and inclusion (DEAI) will be part of the way we conduct day-to-day business, understood throughout the organisation and incorporated into decision-making and business arrangements;

  • Seeking to influence: We will influence others through continuing education where we can so that they adopt similar attitudes and a determination to make changes for the long-term benefit of our environment and communities;

  • Measuring and monitoring: We will maintain practical measures of our sustainability performance and monitor achievement against these; and

  • Reporting: We will be transparent in communicating to our stakeholders our sustainability commitments, approach, challenges and achievements.

We will maintain a robust governance and management approach, under the guidance of our Sustainability Leadership Team and seven subgroups, to clearly set out our requirements, assign responsibility and accountability, and ensure ongoing planning and management of activities to capture opportunities, address our risks and make improvements.

Management and employees are expected to contribute to our sustainability commitments by:

  • Contributing to continuous improvement of sustainability practices;

  • Adhering to the sustainability requirements relevant to their positions;

  • Performing their duties in an ethical, lawful, environmentally conscious and safe manner throughout the organisation and incorporated into decision-making and business arrangements;

  • Participating in the provision of education to others and required training and awareness forums; and

  • Reporting and escalating sustainability ideas, opportunities, concerns and issues;
