Ocean Park Corporation (hereinafter “the Park”) is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for our staff and guests. We strive to ensure that the Park is, as far as reasonably practicable, free from known and hidden dangers or hazards. It is also our policy to comply with all applicable legal statutes and regulations, and to adopt the best industry’s practices and international standards in health and safety for the Park.

In Ocean Park, health and safety are everyone’s responsibilities. The top priority of managers and supervisors is to prevent the occurrence of accidents and injuries. They are responsible for cascading safety rules and procedures to employees through training and education; and maintaining equipment and facilities in safe condition.

Employees have the responsibility to protect their own health and safety as well as others from injuries. They should also cooperate with their superior, follow the necessary safety precautions and procedures, and familiarize with the safe execution of their duties.

This Policy is supported by a supplementary document which sets out the roles, responsibilities and obligations of employees at different areas. Health and safety organizations and procedures for implementing this Policy are also described in the supplementary document.

This Health and Safety Policy is important for the Park. Its successful implementation enables all employees to maintain strong safety awareness, sustains safety performance and brings benefits to the Park, staff and our guests.

This policy would be reviewed periodically to keep pace with the evolving needs of the Park.

At OPC, safety is a priority across all our operations. Our rides undergo rigorous inspections that surpass stringent government standards. An expert team of skilled staff meticulously conducts daily, weekly, monthly, annual and special maintenance checks.

Independent ride-surveyors perform comprehensive annual inspections, with their detailed reports submitted to the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department for verification. Beyond internal protocols, we proactively engage international safety consultants to conduct safety reviews on all rides, ropeway systems and infrastructure. Our sophisticated risk management approach guarantees continuous review, adopting global best practices and proactive safety measures, securing a seamless and protected experience for our staff, visitors and animals.

Ocean Park is committed to continuously strengthening our health and safety management systems and cultivating a resilient safety culture across all levels of the Park. Recognizing that staff engagement is central to this mission, we drive awareness through dynamic promotional initiatives that empower employees to take ownership of safe practices.

These activities deliver key safety messages in interactive and memorable ways, reinforcing vigilance and encouraging staff to integrate safe practices seamlessly into their daily routines. One example is our Safety Promotion Booth, which instills safety awareness through fun and engaging activities such as mini-games and practical tips. Together, these efforts foster knowledge, accountability, and active participation, making safety not only a priority but a shared value that underpins sustainable performance.

Our large-scale Quiz is another example that extends and empowers employees with deeper knowledge in Environmental Protection, Safety, and Conservation. By turning learning into an engaging, interactive experience, these quizzes inspire collaboration and strengthen team spirit. Winners and audience participants alike are recognized with prizes, celebrating their enthusiasm and commitment to building a safer, more sustainable future.

Beyond the Park internal programme, Ocean Park actively supports government initiatives to promote safety awareness, particularly in riding amusement ride in the community. We support and contribute to public safety campaigns and exhibitions. Through these initiatives, Ocean Park extend its commitment to the community beyond our gates.
